The Patrick Ahlund Spring Classic

Patrick was a good speedway rider from Sweden who settled in Canada and had been involved with Paris and Welland. When Champion reopenend he came down and raced with us and from there became a very close friend to many. In 2003 he returned to Sweden to start a business with former Swedish rider, Peter Andersen. They were tragically killed while making a tire delivery. We miss our friend and dedicate this race and trophy to him at each Spring Classic. Continue to RIP Patrick.
